Solutions to win: Ukrainian soldiers at the front receive 500 residential modules with air conditioning and showers
To provide Ukrainian soldiers with convenient accommodation in the field, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense purchased and delivered half a thousand residential modules to the army, Rubryka reports.
What is the problem?
Block containers are most needed on the second line of defense or in places where Ukrainian defenders train.
Such premises are designed to replace dugouts made of camouflage nets, old boards, and the remains of broken houses — materials at hand. Their advantage is easy transportation and quick placement.
Residential modules will provide comfortable living conditions for the military in the areas of task performance and training.
What is the solution?
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine purchased and handed over 500 residential modules for the army to conveniently accommodate defenders in field conditions.
How does it work?
Among the first to receive modules were units of mobile air defense fire groups, gunners, paratroopers, and infantrymen on training grounds.
Modules are small, comfortable rooms. They can be used to create collapsible mobile barracks.
The block containers contain everything necessary: air conditioning, heater, washbasin, shower, toilet, and mobile laundry.
The designs are made by Ukrainian manufacturers. Their equipment varies depending on the location.
From December 2023, the agency "State Rear Operator" will procure products for the army.
"We have made some changes in the rules of bidding so that there are no interruptions in the supply of food and, most importantly, no corruption possible," Deputy Minister Dmytro Klimenkov said. "First, from December of this year, the State Rear Operator agency will handle all purchases of the Ministry of Defense — this is our new tool in procurement, which will fully take over the entire functionality. Its employees will analyze the market, look at prices, communicate with manufacturers and suppliers directly, evaluate them, look at their history, analyze the work, and make responsible decisions and tender purchases."
He noted that the team was studying the market, forming a team, and the procurement agency would be fully operational from December 1.
Rubryka also reported that the Ministry of Defense was testing "tactical sneakers" for the Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, for the first time, approved several new models of UAVs for the Ukrainian military under a simplified procedure.
