Turkish arms producer Baykar gifts attack drone to Ukrainian intelligence for Independence Day
On the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, the Baykar Makina company handed over an attack drone to Ukrainian intelligence for free.
The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced in a statement, Rubryka reports.
"The Baykar Makina company congratulated Ukraine on Independence Day. On August 24, Ukrainian intelligence received a Bayraktar TB2 attack UAV as a gift from the manufacturer of famous drones," the statement reads.
The Defense Intelligence expressed gratitude to the company, noting that the new weapon, which will help destroy the enemy and defend the freedom and independence of Ukraine, is the best gift for the holiday.

In January, the Turkish company Bayakar handed over two attack drones to the Ukrainian army for free. Then the deputy head of the Office of the President, Andrii Sybiha, wrote on Facebook:
"The proper congratulations of President Zelensky continue. Just today, the Baikar company handed over two more attack drones to our army free of charge. The legendary Bairaktars are from the legendary Bayraktar brothers and great friends of Ukraine. These are the coincidences) that significantly increase our defense capability," he said.
According to him, the greetings will continue. "It's a pity that the birthday is only once a year. Especially for such a President as Zelensky," Sybiha added.
The Turkish defense company Bayakar Defense plans to complete the construction of its factory in Ukraine to produce Bayraktar TB2 drones and other types in two years.
In July, Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Minister of Strategic Industries, announced that the Turkish company Baykar had started building a plant in Ukraine.
In June, the Turkish company Baykar received license permits from the authorities to produce Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı in Ukraine. Previously, Baykar registered in Ukraine and purchased a plot of land for construction.
