New industrial park in Ukraine’s west to create 745 jobs
The fifth industrial park will open in Ukraine's western Zakarpattia region, creating 745 jobs for Ukrainians.
Rubryka reports, citing the deputy head of the Zakarpattia regional military administration, Vasyl Ivancho.
What is the problem?
Ukraine must be ready for a prolonged confrontation with Russia. For this, it needs mass — military, human, and economic — the greater number of citizens and territory, the number and equipment of the armed forces, and the volume of the economy, which is measured through the country's GDP.
To increase the country's GDP at least twice, Ukraine requires a change in the structure of the national economy. This change primarily refers to the emergence of a modern processing industry in the country and the growth of its share in the GDP structure.
What is the solution?
During the war, industrial parks became one of the key tools for business relocation. These sites allow businesses to use state support even in the difficult conditions of war.
It is reported that on Tuesday, August 1, at the Government meeting, FRIENDLY WIND TECHNOLOGY was included in the Register of Industrial Parks.
How does it work?
The new industrial park, with an area of 16.5 hectares, is located on the territory of the city of Perechyn, Uzhgorod district, Zakarpattia region.
"New industrial parks are designed to develop the processing industry, supporting Ukrainian exports, creating new jobs, and filling local budgets," the report says.
According to the new industrial park concept, 745 new jobs should be created in the processing industry, professional, scientific, and technical activities. For the most part, local enterprises will be engaged in mechanical engineering and metalworking.
Background
An industrial park is an area allocated during city planning for industrial development. The purpose of creating such parks is to provide enterprises with a common developed infrastructure and ensure control over production and the environmental impact.
Industrial parks are usually located on the outskirts of cities or outside the main residential areas of the city, usually provided with good transport accessibility, particularly by road and rail transport.
Here are just a few of the arguments in favor of the industrial park:
- new jobs,
- development of small and medium-sized businesses,
- supplementing the local budget,
- raising the standard of living of the local population
Rubryka reported that the Dolyna Stryi industrial park was created in the western Lviv region.
During the war, 14 new industrial parks were created with investments of UAH 200 million. Supporting small businesses and local producers is critical. Rubryka tells the story of how Viktor Stynich, a Zakarpattia entrepreneur, came up with a creative solution — a gastro subscription.
