For reference:

The Emmy Awards ceremony has been held since 1949. The first statuette was presented at the Hollywood Sports Club on January 25, 1949. The name "Emmy" comes from the word "Emmy" – the name of the cathode tube in the first television cameras. The atom held by the woman symbolizes television as science, and the wings behind her represent television as art.

Three organizations present the award:

  • The American Television Academy (English Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) honors evening programs, excluding sports;
  • The American National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) awards daytime, sports, television news, and documentary programs;
  • The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences awards television programs produced and broadcast outside the United States.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian people became laureates of the annual German Lev Kopelev Prize "For Peace and Human Rights." The award will be presented to the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klychko, and his brother Volodymyr Klychko, paramedic Yulia "Taira" Paevska, and the Kharkiv human rights group.

And for the Day of Statehood of Lithuania, the country awarded Ukrainian officials, including Shmyhal, Zaluzhny, and Reznikov.
