Ukrainian IT-specialists launched app to resist Russian cyber attacks

Ukrainian IT community HackYourMom presented an app to recognize Russian-made apps and fight the enemy's cyberspace.

What is the problem?

Russia uses all tools in its hybrid warfare in Ukraine. Since its war in 2014, the aggressor has performed hundreds of cyber attacks on governmental websites, media, and average mobile apps.

What is the solution?

The community's leader Mykyta Knysh and his colleagues created a HackYourMom app to resist Russia's attacks in cyberspace. One can download the app from AppStore or Play Market.

How does it work?

The app checks the user's device for Russian apps installed on their phone and recommends removing them.

The developers added to the application recommendations for security settings in all messengers and social networks. According to simple instructions, the user can implement them independently.

The service also offers tasks by completing which you can help strengthen the cyber front in countering a full-scale Russian war in Ukraine.

In particular, there is an option to contribute to finding the Russian military in social networks, as well as for collaborators, separatists, and pro-Russian civilians.
