Three civilians were killed, and one person was injured in Ukraine's eastern Luhansk region during a Russian air raid on the village of Novoiehorivka.

Rubryka reports, referring to the report of the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Artem Lysohor, on the Telegram messaging app.

"Three civilians were killed, and one person suffered shrapnel wounds to the neck, arms, and legs in the Russian bombardment of the village of Novoiehorivka in the Svatove district. The woman was hospitalized in Kharkiv City," said the head of the region.

The governor added that a Russian projectile struck a private residential house with people still staying there. A fire broke out.

"Unfortunately, due to heavy artillery shelling, it was impossible to save people from under the burning rubble," Lysohor said.

The head of the region reported that in recent days, the Russian forces have been using tactical aviation almost continuously to bomb de-occupied settlements in the Svatove district.

In the first weeks of the invasion, Russian troops occupied most of the Luhansk region, part of which had been occupied since 2014 under the name of the "Luhansk People's Republic."

In the fall counteroffensive, the Ukrainian armed forces liberated multiple settlements in the Svatove district, including Karmazynivka, Miasozharivka, and Nevske.

Lysohor also reported that another private house was destroyed in Nevske the day before due to a Russian air raid, the residents of which were evacuated in time. Stelmakhivka and Bilohorivka were also subjected to artillery shelling during the past 24 hours.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area north of Spirne without success in the direction of the liberated city of Lyman, Donetsk region. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Ivanivka and Spirne in the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.
