Ukraine's state defense concern Ukroboronprom and Poland's arms manufacturer Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ S.A.) have concluded an agreement on cooperation in the joint production of 125 mm tank ammunition.

The concern's press service made the relevant statement on Telegram.

"One of the companies of the [Ukroboronprom] concern and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ S.A) have signed an agreement on cooperation in the production of 125-mm tank projectile" the statement says.

The agreement was signed during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the Republic of Poland.

Under the agreement, new production lines will be opened in Polish cities, as there are high risks of Russian missile attacks on Ukroboronprom.

Ukraine will provide its technologies and qualified experts with the appropriate skills and experience for the manufacture of the projectiles.

Earlier reports said that Ukroboronprom had already started producing 125 mm ammunition for tank guns together with a member country of the North Atlantic Alliance. The company will produce tank ammunition with two NATO member countries.

Ukraine, together with one of the NATO countries, began to produce 122-mm artillery shells. The first batch of ammunition has already been sent to the front.

The Ukrainian plant "Mayak" ("Lighthouse") began to produce fragmentation ammunition for drones.
