Ukraine's armed forces have created three strike companies of UAVs

The Ukrainian army has already created three strike companies of Ukrainian-made drones.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

"The Ukrainian army is actively transforming and gaining unique experience in the most technological war in history. Previously, Ministry and the General Staff announced the creation of the world's first UAV strike companies, with an entirely new approach to management, training, and doctrine of the use of drones.

Today, the first three UAV strike companies are ready for battle. Together with partners, they were fully staffed. Pickup trucks, attack copters, and Starlinks were handed over. All drones are Ukrainian-made. Private donors purchased the equipment for the strike companies of the Drone Army," he noted.

Fedorov said that the drones would perform reconnaissance and strike missions.

For reference:

The Commander-in-Chief, General Valerii Zalyzhnyi, approved the creation of UAV strike companies as part of the Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military command does not specify which drones these units will be equipped with. These may be kamikaze drones of different classes with different warheads and flight ranges so that the combat tasks can be performed at different distances.

Moreover,  United24, a fundraising platform initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, launched a project to obtain funds for a collection of naval drones. This fleet was meant to protect Ukrainian waterways and cities from missiles launched by russian warships and open up a path for merchant ships to carry grain to all parts of the world.
