Ukraininan government approved attraction of US grant for $4.5 billion dollars

At its meeting on November 18, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to raise a $4.5 billion grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association.

The Ministry of Finance reports this.

The USA provided the specified grant funds and sent them to the Trust Fund of many donors within the framework of the project "Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine."

Also, at the governmental meeting, the draft order of the President of Ukraine, "On the formation of a delegation of Ukraine to participate in negotiations with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the conclusion of the Agreement on the grant of the Trust Fund of many donors" was supported.

Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko was authorized to sign this agreement.

Raised grant funds in the amount of 4.5 billion dollars will be directed to pension payments and certain programs of state social assistance, such as payment of housing and communal services, support of low-income families, disabled children and disabled from childhood, and IDPs. And also – to pay for medical services under the medical guarantee program.
