The “School gardens of victory” project is being implemented in the Ternopil region
The Swedish project "School gardens of victory" is being implemented in Kopychyntsi, in the Ternopil region.
Andriy Patola, the Secretary of Kopychyntsi City Council, told about the project, Suspilne reports.
According to him, senior teams from two community schools are participating in the event. Students planted vegetables in an area of 8 acres. In autumn, they will compete for the best harvest.
"After the full-scale invasion, the issue of food security became acute. The participants of the Swedish decentralization support project are planting essential products. They chose three crops: beetroot, onion, and cabbage. Then they will compete for the best harvest. Now they are highlighting their work on social media and receiving likes. This will also affect the evaluation," Patola said.
The Swedish project "School gardens of victory" will also help to provide schools with modern laboratory equipment for studying biology and agronomy, Andriy Patola noted.
