Major software developer Microsoft suspends sales and services in Russia

This is stated in a statement by the company's president Brad Smith, Rubryka reports.

The company stated that due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they will stop all sales of Microsoft products and services in Russia.

"We are outraged and upset by the images and news of the war in Ukraine, and condemn this unjustified, unprovoked, and illegal Russian invasion," the company said.

In addition, Microsoft is working with the governments of the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom to stop "many aspects" of its business in Russia. This is in line with government sanctions.

"We believe that we will help Ukraine most effectively when we take concrete steps to coordinate with the decisions made by these governments, and we will take additional steps as the situation develops," Smith said.

Earlier, the large American software developer Oracle stopped operating in Russia, SAP stopped selling in Russia.
