Opendatabot: almost half of all sole proprietors in Ukraine are women

In Ukraine, 863,455 women work as sole proprietors, which is almost half of all entrepreneurs (46.6%).
This is evidenced by the data of Opendatabot.
At the same time, the share of women is growing from year to year; in 2016, they were 44.8%.

The largest number of women do business in the following areas: retail (43.6%), and the provision of other personal services (9.3%).
"In third place among the areas chosen by women is computer programming, consulting and related activities (4.9%). As of February this year, 43,407 women work as entrepreneurs in IT," a statement reads.
Every year the share of women among IT sole proprietors grows significantly. In 2017, their percentage was 20.9%, this year, it's already 24.7%.
