Deafness and hearing defects are a diagnosis for about 40 thousand Ukrainians. However, it shouldn't interfere with self-actualization. We're telling you about an unusual project that combines art and confectionery, embodied by a woman from Zhytomyr with deafness.
In Ukraine, according to statistics, only slightly more than 25% of the adult working-age population with disabilities is employed. Finding a job for a person with a disability is a real quest; not every employer is ready to take on social responsibility by making their business inclusive. Therefore, the case that we'll talk about today is more exceptional than ordinary.
24-year-old Daria Tvardovska from Zhytomyr has been deaf since childhood, but it doesn't prevent her from obtaining several professions and creating works of art that you want to put not in the refrigerator, but on a museum shelf.
