War for reforms and future of science: fighting for rector's chair flared up in Taras Shevchenko KNU
In one of the major universities in Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, the buttons came off the foils again. This time, it's happening because of the new rector's election.
After 12 years of running the university, Leonid Guberskyi left his post. While the university is preparing for new elections, the Ministry of Education and Science leadership is trying to wedge into the situation and appoint their candidate on the post of acting head of the university. Some students disagree with this and declare about provocations.
