How to make museums interesting: a Ukrainian solution for children
You don't have to go abroad to have fun at the museum with your kid. Actually, in a pandemic, you don't even have to be in a museum physically. The National Art Museum of Ukraine knows how to interest art students remotely too.
The new Ukrainian school aims to educate creative young people. To do this, students need not only a comfortable environment within the school but also a variety of ways to learn about the world around them. Tour to the museum is a rather traditional form, able to tell children about different art forms, their history, and to acquaint them with the work of famous individuals. The "Friendly School" project's team explains how to turn a simple visit to the museum into an exciting experience.
Everything seems much simpler in foreign museums: there, students run around the halls freely, just sit on the floor, search for certain works of art themselves, and perform tasks in special notebooks. In fact, museum tours as quests have long been an integral part of school education in Europe.
