Ukraine’s Security Service sets record for largest capture of Russian soldiers

Throughout the full-scale war, the Security Service of Ukraine has executed numerous unique operations. Notably, Ukrainian forces set a record for capturing the largest number of Russian invaders in a single operation.

Ukraine's Security Service's press service reported this to hromadske on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian special service.

Security officials noted that such a "record" was set during the fighting in the Kursk region. Then, Security Service fighters captured more than 100 Russian soldiers during one assault.

Additionally, during the full-scale war, the Security Service of Ukraine orchestrated two explosions on the Crimean Bridge:

• in October 2022,
• and July 2023.

In addition, Security Service fighters hit 11 Russian warships in the Black Sea using surface drones. Also, they carried out a number several rides" deep into the territory of the Russian Federation on:

• military airfields,
• weapons depots,
• oil depots,
• factories that produce drones and guided aerial bombs.

"We will continue to fight for our state! By maintaining unity and stability, Ukrainians can change the course of history for the sake of our country's future," said the department's head, Vasyl Maliuk, on the occasion of Security Service Day.

• Missile carrier "Samum"

• The newest reconnaissance and hydrographic ship "Vladimir Kozitsky,"
• Large landing ship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation "Novocherkassk" in the Feodosia area

Additionally, in 2024:

• On the night of February 1, Ukrainian intelligence destroyed the missile boat "Ivanovets" of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, valued at approximately $60-70 million.
• On February 14, Ukrainian drones from the Main Intelligence Directorate shot down the large Russian ship "Tsezar Kunikov" in the Black Sea in the morning.
