On February 23, just ahead of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of Ukraine's armed forces unveiled a cultural and charitable initiative titled "Ode to Resilience – Symphony of Freedom in Times of Trials." This musical tour, set to visit five major Ukrainian cities, aims to embody the unwavering spirit of the Ukrainian people.
The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine reports this.
In Kyiv, the Liatoshynskyi Capella: Orchestra of the National House of Music and artists from the National Presidential Orchestra collaborated for the premiere. Serhii Lykhomanenko, an officer in Ukraine's armed forces and head of the communications department for the 5th Separate Assault Brigade, conducted the concert. Formerly the Kharkiv Regional Philharmonic conductor, Lykhomanenko returned to the stage after a three-year hiatus, prompted by his service in the Donetsk region, to present world premieres of compositions created during the war.

"Ode to Perseverance" is a tribute to the fallen Heroes and support for those who continue to defend Ukraine. For the first time, new symphonic arrangements of piano works by Viktor Kosenko and Borys Liatoshynsky were performed, as well as works by contemporary composers, in particular the concert for the surviving piano by Vlad Solodovnykov and the concert for piano and orchestra No. 1 "Ukrainian" by the Italian composer Gabriele Denaro.
