Russia's attack on minibus in Kherson leaves three injured
In Kherson, three men were injured when a minibus in the Korabelnyi district was shelled. Moreover, at night, Russians shelled the village of Mykhailivka in the Kherson region from a tank, causing damage to the local cultural center.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported this.
"The Russians shelled a minibus in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson," the message reads.
As noted, three men were injured as a result of the Russian attack. They received explosive injuries, contusions, and shrapnel wounds to the legs.
The victims were taken to the hospital. They are currently receiving medical care.
The local military authorities have also reported that two individuals who were wounded in the Russian drone attack on the village of Shyroka Balka on January 1 have been hospitalized as of January 2.
At the time of the explosives being dropped, a 26-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were driving down the street in a car. As a result of the explosives dropped from the drone, they received blast injuries and shrapnel wounds.
Both victims were provided with medical assistance and released for outpatient treatment.
On January 2, a man who was injured in an attack by a Russian UAV in Beryslav on December 31 sought medical attention. The 55-year-old resident was diagnosed with a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the forearm and chest. The victim is currently under medical supervision.
In addition, at night, the Russians shelled the village of Mykhailivka in the Kherson region from a tank.
"Tonight, the Russian army attacked Mykhailivka in the Beryslav district," the Kherson Regional Military Administration reports.
The enemy shelled the village from a tank. This resulted in damage to the local culture house. It should be mentioned that no residents were injured.
The local military authority also displayed images depicting the aftermath of the shelling that occurred in the village of Bilozerka on January 1st. Multiple homes were affected, with shattered windows, damaged roofs, and destroyed walls.
There were no casualties reported.
According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region, last night, the Russian army launched an attack on the outskirts of Kherson. A projectile from the enemy struck a residential building, causing a fire that destroyed the structures. Due to the presence of enemy drones, firefighters had to temporarily retreat to safety during their efforts to put out the flames. Luckily, they were able to extinguish the fire successfully.
Another fire and rescue unit was called out to assist: after the shelling of a residential area of Kherson, the door of the house was damaged by a blast wave.
The owner could not leave the building by herself, so rescuers came to her aid. They used a special tool to unblock the door and assisted the woman exiting the apartment.
In total, in the Kherson region, over the past day, January 1, two people died, and six were injured as a result of Russian strikes.

On December 20, the Russian military launched a massive attack on Kherson, resulting in casualties. In a span of 40 minutes, approximately 1,000 shells were fired at the city.
