Ukrainian Oscar-winning film "20 Days in Mariupol" takes home prize at Septimius Awards
The Ukrainian Oscar-winning movie "20 Days in Mariupol," directed by Mstyslav Chernov, was honored with Best Full-Length Documentary at the Septimius Awards in the Netherlands.

The Septimius Awards 2024 ceremony took place in Amsterdam.
The movie's producer, Vasilisa Stepanenko, received the award for "20 Days in Mariupol" on stage. She brought Anastasiia, who had been pregnant in the Mariupol brothel during the Russian bombings, up with her to accept the award.
The Septimius Awards is a prestigious film award that focuses on discovering new independent talent, supporting visionary films, and combining all aspects of filmmaking and different genres, including fiction, animation, documentaries, TV series, and more.
On March 11, 2024, the documentary film "20 Days in Mariupol" by Ukrainian director Mstyslav Chernov became the first film from Ukraine to win an Oscar.

The world premiere of "20 Days in Mariupol" took place at the Sundance 2023 independent film festival in the USA, where the film received the Audience Award.
The film was also released on Ukrainian streaming platforms: Takflix, Sweet.TV, Megogo, Kyivstar TV and Volia TV, Netflix.
