Solutions to win: famous Ukrainian actress organizes fundraiser on her 87th birthday to provide combat medics with car

For her birthday, Ada Rohovtseva, an 87-year-old Ukrainian theater and film actress and People's Artist of Ukraine, arranged a fundraiser to purchase a car for combat medics.

The actress reported that on social networks.

What is the solution?

On July 16, the outstanding Ukrainian actress of theater and cinema turns 87 years old. Ada Rohovtseva decided to celebrate her birthday on stage by playing in the play "It Looks Like Happiness."

The actress posted on social networks asking her fans not to bring flowers. Instead, she urged them to donate money to buy a car for combat medics to support their essential work on the front lines.

How does it work?

The day before her birthday, Ada Rohovtseva shared a post on social media about her brother-in-law's siblings, who are volunteer doctors. During a military evacuation, he sustained injuries, and his vehicle was engulfed in flames after being targeted by an enemy drone.

"Now that Mykyta is in the hospital thank goodness the injury isn't too serious. Thankfully, all the people he was helping were safely rescued and brought out alive! We're now collecting donations to help purchase a car for Dr. Mykyta while he recovers," Rohovtseva said.

The actress shared in her post that she encourages those attending her play "It Looks Like Happiness" on July 16th not to spend money on flowers for her.

Instead, she requested to donate money for a car for combat medics.

"Don't bring flowers, please! Your flowers should grow to help combat medics.

And everyone who wants to congratulate me – please! A donation for a car for combat medics is the best gift for me on my 87th birthday!" the actress wrote.

The actress also shared that she will perform in a coat with a fox collar in such heat. Despite the difficult conditions, Ada Rohovtseva is sure that playing a play in a coat, even at the age of 87, is easier than fighting in a bulletproof vest and helmet.

Her words served as an additional reminder of the importance of supporting combat medics who risk their lives on the front lines every day.

As Rubryka reported, during the charity tour of the United States of America and Canada in May and June, Lviv singer Iryna Fedyshyn collected 300 thousand dollars (over UAH 12 million) and purchased 60 cars for the Ukrainian military.

It was also reported that during a charity concert tour in Great Britain and Ireland, the rock band "Druha Rika" collected more than a million hryvnias for boats for Ukrainian scouts.
