Last night, Russian troops launched an additional aerial assault on Ukrainian territory using missiles from both air and sea, along with kamikaze drones. Fortunately, the Ukrainian armed forces' air defenses took down all of the enemy's targets except one Kinzhal missile.

The commander of the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, reported that on Telegram.

He clarified that, in general, the enemy used for this night combined attack:

  • One Kh-47 M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile, which the occupiers launched from the airspace of the Tambov region in the Russian Federation,
  • Four Kalibr cruise missiles launched from the northeastern part of the Black Sea
  • One guided air missile, Kh-59/Kh-69, which was launched from the Kursk region,
  • Twenty-three attack drones of the "Shahed-131/136" type, the launch area of which was Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Thus, 28 targets were eliminated during the air attack repulse.

"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 28 air targets were shot down: four Kalibr cruise missiles, one Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missile, 23 Shahed-131/136 type UAVs," the general said.

For reference:

It should be noted that on the evening of June 27, Russian troops launched several groups of Shahed-type attack drones over Ukraine.

Eventually, it was discovered that the occupiers had fired Kalibr cruise missiles.

Additionally, some information was provided regarding the MiG-31K taking off, as it carries the Kinzhal aeroballistic missile. Concerns were also expressed about potential airstrikes from the enemy's tactical aircraft.

Explosions were also reported in the Khmelnytskyi region and rang out at least four times overnight.

In addition, an explosion was also heard in the Kyiv area. The capital authorities did not explain the reasons but wrote on the network about the work of the Air Defense Forces in Kyiv and the region.

It is worth mentioning that the Russian occupiers launched a large-scale attack on critical infrastructure facilities across Ukraine on the night of June 22. The air defense forces successfully destroyed 12 enemy missiles and 13 attack UAVs.
