Russian forces drop six aerial bombs on frontline Orikhiv, wiping out high-rise building
Russian forces dropped several aerial bombs on the frontline town of Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region, which has been a resistance center of the southern front for two years of the invasion.
Enemy bombs targeted local infrastructure and a high-rise building, destroying an entrance unit, governor Yurii Malashko says.
"Tons of construction debris are all that's left of civilians' homes, their everyday life, comfort and family happiness," Malashko said.
The attack site is being observed by rescuers, no casualties have been, so far, reported.
Orikhiv is a small town near Zaporizhzhia, which serves as the last pillar of resistance for Ukrainian soldiers on south, as Russian forces continue to advance to the liberated Robotyne.
Home to around 700 people, Orikhiv's citizens risk their lives enduring the near-daily missile and artillery attacks as they struggle to survive.
