Ukraine's central city of Kropyvnytskyi unveils "Bells of Memory" installation to honor fallen soldiers
Ukraine's central city of Kropyvnytskyi unveiled used shells called "Bells of Memory" as a commemorative installation to honor all fallen soldiers.
The bells will be rung to honor the memory of the fallen soldiers every morning, authorities report.
The new installation was presented in front of the memorial to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, Ukrainians who stood against the regime in 2014 and chose to fight for Ukraine-EU values. Communal services tied ribbons with the names of all fallen soldiers to the installation.
A nationwide minute of silence will be held every day at the installation with the sound of bells as a sign of respect for the fallen Ukrainians.
Volunteers from the Krop:Hub community made these steel bells, while the metal arches were based on sketches by Vasyl Degtyar, a soldier of the 41st Brigade. The Public Relations and Information Department of the regional military administration developed a ritual to honor the killed.
