Rubryka's photo report on World Humanitarian day exposition in Kyiv
On the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day, Kyiv unveiled a themed photo exposition #Razom.
Every year on August 19, humanitarian workers around the world are honored for their tireless efforts to help people affected by crises, conflicts, wars, and natural disasters.
Since the escalation of the war in February 2022, volunteers, war-affected communities, civil society organizations, and Ukrainian and international humanitarian workers have been working together to support millions of people whose lives have been devastated by the war. Hence the title of the exhibition, #RAZOM (Together).
To recognize the efforts they are making despite the enormous challenges, the humanitarian community organized this photo exhibition with the support of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Ukraine.
The photo exhibition features work dedicated to the efforts of humanitarian organizations, central, regional, and local authorities, volunteers, war-affected communities, and NGOs that work tirelessly to ensure that millions of war-affected people receive the help they need.
Among the photos are shots taken by Mykola Tymchenko, Rubryka's reporter.
