Onishchuk said the Russian rocket hit a civilian facility during the attack, leading to casualties.

"[A child] was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. The doctors did everything possible, but, unfortunately, it was impossible to save the child's life," the head of the region stressed and urged not to ignore the air raid warnings and take care of one's safety during an aerial threat.

Morning Russian missile attack on Ukraine

On Friday, a large-scale air alert was announced in Ukraine. The reason was the take-off of the Russian fighter MiG-31K, a potential carrier of the Kinzhal missiles.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the missile danger. Loud explosions were heard in Kyiv. The sounds of explosions were also reported in Khmelnytskyi and Kyiv regions.

Later, the local authorities reported that debris had fallen on the territory of one of the capital's children's hospitals in the Obolon district of Kyiv. In this area, debris fell on Bohatyrska Street, where the roof of a private house was damaged. Also, in Obolon, a wreck was discovered in an open area in one of the summer cooperatives. There are no casualties.

Russia continues randomly bombarding Ukraine with missiles and Iranian-made kamikaze drones. So, on the night of August 10, the Russian occupiers once again launched Shahed drones. The Air Force reported that the Russians used ten drones, and the Air Defense Forces shot seven down. However, Russian drones hit an oil depot in the western Rivne region, resulting in a large-scale fire.

On the night of August 3, during a Russian attack in the airspace near the capital, all aerial targets were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense, including almost 15 kamikaze drones of the Shahed type.
