Canada imposes sanctions against Russia's so-called "ministries" in occupied Ukraine
Canada introduced new sanctions against newly created organizations in the Ukrainian territories occupied by the Russian Federation – these are the so-called ministries and foundations.
That is reported on the government's website.
"Canada is introducing sanctions against newly created structures in the territories of Ukraine occupied by Russia," the message said.
Thus, 17 organizations were included in the list of sanctions. Among them are also Ukrainian military companies fighting on the Russian side.
In particular:

- the so-called state budgetary institution of the Republic of Crimea, "Central Tavrida Museum."
- the so-called state budget cultural institution "Kherson regional art museum."
- the so-called state budget cultural institution "Kherson Regional Museum of Local Lore."
- municipal budget institution of culture "Mariupol City Local History Museum."
- communal budget institution of culture "Melitopol City Local History Museum."
- the so-called Ministry of Culture of the Kherson region
- the so-called Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea
- the so-called Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of the Republic of Crimea
- the so-called Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporizhzhia region

Earlier, at the beginning of July, President Volodymyr Zelensky, by his decree, put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council dated July 5 on the application of sanctions against 18 companies associated with Russian oligarchs Mikhail Fridman, Herman Khan, and Peter Aven.
Also, the Verkhovna Rada [Ukraine's parliament – ed.] approved and submitted to the National Security and Defense Council for consideration proposals regarding the application of sanctions to 36 representatives of Russian and Belarusian sports organizations.
It should be noted that the Japanese government plans to ban the export of used cars to Russia as part of additional economic sanctions against Moscow due to its invasion of Ukraine.
