Russian bombardment kills three civilians in Ukraine's Sumy region
Three people were killed in the Russian bombardments of the northern Sumy region on the afternoon of May 19.
The exact circumstances of the incident are being established. Local authorities still clarify casualties.
Three civilians were killed in the Yunakivka community. The Sumy Oblast Military Administration expresses sincere condolences to the victims' families, they reported.
On the night of May 19 and in the morning, the Russians carried out 7 shellings of Ukraine's border, and 28 explosions were recorded. Seredyno-Buda, Yunakivska, and Putivlska communities got under fire.
The occupiers shelled the border Seredyno-Budska community with artillery. Eight explosions were recorded there. There was also shelling from the AGS, counting 10 explosions.
Russian forces launched a mortar attack on the Yunakivska community. There were five explosions, and on Putivlska – a shelling from the AGS, also five explosions.
Russian troops attacked Ukraine overnight in different directions: from the north and southwest, as well as from the Black Sea.
On Thursday, May 18, Russian shelling targeted the village of Tsyrkuny in the Kharkiv region. One person died in a rocket attack, and there were others injured.
