Nine civilians, including child, injured in Russian shelling of Kherson region

On May 8, the Kherson and Beryslav districts of the Kherson region were subjected to a hostile assault, injuring nine civilians, one of whom was a minor.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported this.

The investigation findings reveal that three civilians sustained injuries of varying severity due to repeated shelling by Russian forces on settlements in the Kherson and Beryslav districts.

Six residents, including a minor child, were injured in an airstrike by the invaders in the Stanislavska community of the Kherson district. An enemy projectile hit the building of the village council.

As a result of the strikes conducted by the Russian Federation, private houses, farm buildings, gas pipelines, and power lines were damaged.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated in light of a breach of the laws and customs of war (as stipulated in Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and a preliminary investigation is underway.

Priority steps are being taken to record the criminal activity of the Russian military.

It should be noted that last day Russian troops shelled the Kherson region 42 times, firing 282 shells and injuring two civilians.

On May 8, the Russian aggressors launched a missile strike from strategic aviation planes in Ukraine's southern Odesa region.

The South Operational Command reports on Facebook that the Russian forces launched Kh-22 missiles from strategic aircraft in the Odesa region and directed them at the warehouse of one of the food enterprises and the recreation area on the Black Sea coast. Later, it became known that three people were injured due to a Russian attack on the Odesa region. Another person was considered missing. The fire at the site of the strike has been extinguished.

As Rubryka reported, this night, Russian aggressors attacked the territory of Ukraine with 35 kamikaze drones. Continuing the tactics of terror, the Russian Federation launched 16 rocket attacks on eastern Kharkiv and southern Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions. The General Staff also recorded 61 airstrikes and 52 rounds from multiple-rocket launching systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, the strikes killed and injured civilians; a high-rise building, private homes, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
