Ukrainian foresters have planted 48.2 million seedlings as part of the president's "Green Country" program
266 million tree plants have been planted throughout the "Green Country" environmental program, State Forest Resources Agency reports.

Currently, Ukrainian foresters have already planted 48.2 million seedlings.
Details on the results of autumn seedling planting by the region:
- Zakarpattia – 136 thousand;
- Ivano-Frankivsk – 81 thousand;
- Lviv – 965 thousand;
- Sumy – 1 673 thousand;
- Chernihiv – 1 962 thousand;
- Ternopil – 528 thousand;
- Khmelnytsky – 615 thousand;
- Chernivtsi – 189 thousand;
- Poltava – 1 734 thousand;
- Kharkiv – 759 thousand;
- Dnipro – 1 46 thousand;
- Vinnytsia – 2 262 thousand;
- Kirovograd – 424 thousand;
- Cherkasy – 2 106 thousand;
- Mykolaiv – 262 thousand;
- Odesa – 210 thousand;
- Volyn – 3 582 thousand;
- Rivne – 10 645 thousand;
- Kyiv – 6 260 thousand;
- Zhytomyr – 12 4 thousand.
Several foresting facilities take part in the president's program. The best time for planting is spring and autumn, when the plants are in their natural leafless state and physiological processes are less active.
