Ukraine's air defense destroys 18 out of 23 kamikaze drones over Kyiv
Twenty-three unmanned aerial vehicles were detected in Kyiv during the air raid alert, and 18 drones were destroyed.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported this on Telegram.
"During the air alert, 23 enemy UAVs were recorded in the sky above the capital. Our defense forces destroyed 18 drones. There were no casualties. However, debris damaged the Solomianskyi district's roadway and the windows of a high-rise building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Unfortunately, there were strikes at a critical infrastructure facility. Emergency services are eliminating the consequences," said Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

On the night of December 18-19, russian occupation forces attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, 30 of which were destroyed by the Defense Forces.
"In total, about thirty-five barrage munitions were detected. Like last time, the attack UAVs were launched from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov.
The forces and means of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed thirty Shahed drones of the russian occupiers!" the message of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram reads.
According to the Air Force, units of anti-aircraft missile forces, fighter aircraft, and mobile fire groups are involved in the destruction of air targets.
