Ukraine will need to de-mine at least 82,525 square kilometers
As of March 23, the area of Ukrainian territories in need of de-mining has already reached 82,525 km2.
The NGO Association of Sappers of Ukraine reported this.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, if we analyze the experience of de-mining territories in Donbas over the past years of the war, we can say that Russia has already caused about $250 billion in losses to Ukraine in the field of mine action alone. This is the minimum cost that will be spent on clearing Ukrainian land from enemy shells.
