At night, Russian military aircraft again fired on the outskirts of Sumy and Okhtyrka
This was announced by the Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi in Telegram, Rubryka reports.
According to the official, Russian enemy aircraft bombed the outskirts of Sumy and the village of Bytytsia. The blow was around 00:40. Details will be clarified.
"Okhtyrka. Every time it hurts to talk about it: Russian aircraft again bombed residential areas at about half-past one on the first night of March 10. There is information about the bomb hitting the gas pipeline. Information is being clarified," wrote Zhyvytskyi.
No casualties were reported.
To recap, the Russian army significantly reduced the pace of advance but did not abandon the offensive.
On the night of March 8, 22 people were killed in an air bombardment in Sumy by Russian troops, three of them children and eight wounded.
People are trying to leave the city, some have already managed to do so through the Sumy – Poltava evacuation corridor.
Russia denies that it is waging a war of aggression against Ukraine on its territory and calls it a "special operation" aimed at "demilitarization and denazification."
The Kremlin has previously said it will not touch civilians during its so-called "operation."
