Ukrainians saved at least 870 km of paper using an e-signature - Digital Ministry

In 2021, Ukrainians used e-signature and e-stamp 8.7 billion times, of which more than 1 billion used Diia.Signature.

The press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported this.

"If you put imaginary bundles of unused paper, you will get a tower at least 870 km high. It's like the Ukrainian satellite Sich-2-30 and 21 more Everest or just 98 Everest. Here are the results of paperless, if you measure them in Everests, for clarity," said Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Liudmila Rabchynska.

As noted, on average, each user signs more than 800 documents online per year. People are increasingly concluding contracts, signing documents, and running documents online.

The Ministry analyzed statistics on the activities of providers of electronic trust services and assessed the state of development of this area at the end of 2021.

"According to the end of 2021, the number of users of e-signatures and e-seals has almost doubled, from 6 million to 10.8 million. 2.8 million of them use Diia.Signatures.

In total, citizens received more than 17 million e-signatures and e-seals in 2021, of which 5.6 million Diia.Signatures. This figure is 2.2 times higher than in 2020.

At the end of 2021, the number of valid e-signatures that people continue to use is 14.7 million, of which 2.7 million are Diia.Signatures. This is 1.8 times more than in 2020," the press service said.
