More than a million batteries sent from Ukraine to Romania for recycling
More than a million batteries were sent from Ukraine to Romania for recycling.
"Batteries, Surrender" reports on Facebook.
"If in the last six months you have handed over your batteries to one of the 8 retail chains-members of the 'Batteries, Surrender!" movement, your batteries have just gone for recycling to the GreenWEEE plant in Romania! 🚀😍" the message stated.
The new truck, which contained 21,369 tons of batteries from all over Ukraine, which is more than 1 million batteries, is sent not to a landfill, not to a river, not to a forest, but to become new resources.
"Thanks to this delivery, we have kept about 100 football fields clean, and we thank each of you who support our cause with your involvement, contributions, kind words, involvement of acquaintances and their companies ♥," activists write.
You can find the nearest battery collection point (up to 50 batteries per person) on the map, which already has more than 1,000 points across the country!
