2020 Olympics: karateka Terliuha wins "silver"
Ukrainian karateka Anzhelika Terliuha won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

In the final match of the Olympic Games in karate (Kumite), in the weight category up to 55 kg, Terliuha lost to the Bulgarian Ivet Goranova.
During the fight, Anzhelika injured her leg, doctors "froze" it.
Terliuha's silver medal is Ukraine's first award in karate at the Olympics.
In the semifinals in the weight category up to 55 kg, Anzhelika Terliuha met with a two-time bronze medalist of the World Championships Wen Tzu-Yun from Taiwan. With a score of 4:4, the Ukrainian reached the final by a judge's decision.
Anzhelika Terliuha defeated Radwa Sayed from Egypt (1:0), Japanese Miho Miyahara (4:0) in the group round and drew with Moldir Zhangbyrbay from Kazakhstan (4:4) and Austrian Bettina Plank (1:1).
During the 13 competitive days of the 2020 Olympics, Ukraine won 13 medals. Wrestler Zhan Beleniuk won gold in the 87 kg category. Another representative of the Greco-Roman style Parviz Nasibov has a silver medal in the weight up to 67 kg. Swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk won silver in the 1500 m distance and bronze in the 800 m freestyle. Wrestler Alla Cherkasova won a bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in the 68kg category, and Iryna Koliadenko took third place in the 62kg category.
Also, bronze medals were brought to Ukraine by judoka Daria Bilodid in the category up to 48 kg, fencer Ihor Reizlin in swordsman competitions, Olena Kostevych and Oleh Omelchuk in air pistol shooting, tennis player Elina Svitolina and Liudmila Luzan in canoeing.
In addition, the silver award to Ukraine was guaranteed by boxer Oleksandr Khyzhnoak, who reached the final in the category up to 75 kg.
