Ukraine to host Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen
On the eve of Independence Day, August 23, the capital of Ukraine will host the Kyiv Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen.
The event is organized on the initiative of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
"The spouses of leaders – First Ladies and Gentlemen – play an important role in their countries. At the same time, international cooperation between First Ladies and Gentlemen has never been systematic. Ukraine has taken a leading role and organizes the first-ever international platform of this kind," said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, the Ministry posted on Facebook.
The First Ladies and Gentlemen, together with international and Ukrainian experts, will discuss current challenges and solutions in the fields of education, health, barrier-free environment, and equal rights for men and women.
