Court arrested the Flowers of Ukraine building: it is forbidden to carry out construction

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has seized the Flowers of Ukraine building in Kyiv, and any construction work is prohibited during the pre-trial investigation. Police will be on duty near the building.

Deputy Chief of the Investigation Department of the Shevchenkivskyi Police Department Dmytro Lysenko, whose words were broadcast by activists, and by Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko in the Telegram.

"The decision of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court to seize this construction has just been announced. To put it simply, it is forbidden to take any action at the time of the pre-trial investigation, i.e. to build, restore, reconstruct," Lysenko said.

It is noted that the ruling was served to the contractor's representative. A pre-trial investigation will be conducted.

Lysenko asks Kyiv residents to inform the police about any actions with the building.

Tkachenko said that while "all controversial issues" concerning "Flowers of Ukraine" were being considered, patrol officers would be on duty near the building.

As reported by Rubryka, the demolition of the modernist facade of the educational and methodical building "Flowers of Ukraine" began on Monday in the center of Kyiv on Sichovykh Striltsiv Street.

Tkachenko stated that the dismantling of the modernist building "Flowers of Ukraine" in Kyiv should be stopped.
