Kravchuk explains why it's necessary to include the U.S. in the Normandy format
The Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, Leonid Kravchuk, explained the need for the United States to join the Normandy format. According to him, the United States can influence Russia.
He said this on the air of Ukraine 24.
According to him, the new US administration is already making statements to support Ukraine.
"I think the question of US participation in the Normandy format… I don't know in what form… It would be necessary. It could significantly strengthen the format and significantly increase the impact on the actions of the Russian Federation," he said.
Kravchuk also believes that Russia will never agree to anything, including the US accession to the format. However, according to him, it doesn't mean that Ukraine should do what Russia wants.
