Poland nominates Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Dzhemilev for the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize.
This was stated by the Polish human rights activist Petro Khlebovych to the Turkish bureau QIRIM.News.
"Poland has nominated the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, People's Deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022," the statement said.
As it is specified, the nomination of Mustafa Dzhemilev was initiated by the Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) Małgorzata Gosiewska.
Among the nominees for the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize are British nature researcher David Attenborough, the World Health Organization, Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Tuvaluan Foreign Minister Simon Kofe, and Pope Francis.
To recap, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times, in 2009, 2011, and 2015.
