Russian troops target Ukrainian railways in night attack
During the night of September 2, the Russian army launched an attack on the infrastructure and rail transport of the Ukrainian Railways ("Ukrzaliznytsia") in the Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

No one was hurt in these shelling attacks. However, on September 2 in the evening, the house of a Ukrzaliznytsia worker – a locomotive depot driver – was hit by Russian artillery shelling in Pokrovsk.

"The railway workers are currently organizing the evacuation of the civilian population and are facing constant enemy attacks from this city. A railway worker and his wife, who works for the primary trade union, were injured and have been taken to the hospital," Ukrzaliznytsia reported.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the occupiers launched a deliberate attack on the railway during the night. Despite this, there have been no cancellations of passenger trains, and service continues as usual.
"Not a single passenger flight has been canceled; we keep going," the press service added.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first attack on Ukrzaliznytsia.

"For security reasons, we do not disclose the landing sites of neutralized drones," Oleksandr Lomako, acting mayor of Chernihiv, wrote on Telegram.
He says that all the critical infrastructure facilities responsible for keeping the city functioning are working properly.
