United to win: Spain delivers second set of Patriot missiles to Ukraine
Last Friday, June 21, Spain handed Ukraine the second batch of anti-aircraft missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
El Mundo reports this with reference to the EFE agency.
According to government agency sources, the second batch of missiles from Spain arrived in Ukraine last Friday, June 21, in addition to the first batch that was delivered at the end of April.
Missiles for Patriot are part of an "important delivery" that should take place in June this year, as Defense Minister Margarita Robles said on May 25 during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format.

Earlier, Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke about the agreement with Spain regarding assistance in strengthening air defense but did not reveal its details until all supplies were approved.
The head of state spoke about the need to adopt bilateral security agreements, which provide for long-term obligations of states to supply military aid. It emphasized that the priority now is air defense.
"Among these (security. – Ed.) agreements is an agreement with countries with air defense systems," Zelensky explained.
"As for Spain, for example, I would pay attention to it there, we really had relevant agreements, and there will be additional air defense in relation to specific systems and specifically missiles. I just don't want to discuss some details until these systems have arrived," he added.
Before that, the media reported that Spain would send Patriot air defense missiles and Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine as part of the previously announced aid package.
At the same time, Volodymyr Zelensky and the Spanish Prime Minister signed a bilateral security agreement, according to which Spain will provide 1 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine in 2024.
