World-renowned Ukrainian director Tanu Muino to stage Ukraine's 2024 Eurovision performance

The Ukrainian artists representing the country in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, alyona alyona and Jerry Heil, will have their stage performances directed by Tanu Muino, a Ukrainian filmmaker known for creating music videos for some of the world's most famous artists.

Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil discuss this in an interview with Billboard magazine.

"You can imagine how we felt when we realized we would be working with her. She's incredibly talented, and what she does is essential to us.

Because she is not only a talented Ukrainian who started working in Hollywood, but she has done what no one in the music industry has done before her. We are so proud of her," said Jerry Heil (real name Yana Shemaieva).

Rapper alyona alyona (Alyona Savranenko) added that this year's performance of Ukraine at Eurovision will be "a union of Ukrainian virgins".

Tanu Muino has already received three MTV Video Music Awards 2021 in the nominations:

• "Video of the Year",
• "Best Direction",
• "Best Visual Effects" for the music video for Montero song by the rapper Lil Nas X.
• The director has also won multiple awards, including the "Best Video Clip" nomination for the annual Ukrainian YUNA Award and the "Clipmaker of the Year" nomination for the M1 Music Awards.

On April 27, singers alyona alyona and Jerry Heil, who will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest this year, sang their song for the first time on the main stage.

This is already the 68th Eurovision Song Contest. The semi-finals will be held on May 7 and 9, and the final on May 11, 2024. The competition will be held for the third time in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. In general, this country has already hosted the Eurovision Song Contest for the last time.

Ukraine will be represented at this year's competition by Jerry Heil and alyona alyona with the song Teresa & Maria. Based on the results of the draw, it was determined that the representatives of Ukraine will perform in the first part of the first semi-final on May 7.

SVT, the Swedish broadcaster running the 2024 song contest, has already revealed intricate visuals and pictures of the Malmö Arena stage and lighting.

By the way, Ukraine will perform at Eurovision under number five.
