Solutions to win: Mukachevo schoolchildren raise over $1,500 for Ukrainian soldiers

At the charity fair, students from Mukachevo Lyceum No. 10 raised over 48,000 hryvnias [over 1,100 USD – ed.] to benefit Ukrainian defenders. Their efforts were backed by their peers at Mukachevo Lyceum No. 5, who also contributed 17,000 hryvnias [approximately 400 USD – ed.] to support Ukraine's armed forces.

At the charity fair, students of Mukachevo Lyceum No. 10 collected over 48,000 hryvnias for Ukraine's armed forces.

Their initiative was supported by students of Mukachevo Lyceum No. 5, who donated 17,000 hryvnias to support the defenders.

How does it work?

The students gave the money they collected to volunteer Maksym Adamenko to buy 50 FPV drones for the Mukachevo community's military.

"The younger grades organized a charity fair and chose to contribute the raised funds to the "Mukachevo drones" initiative. Initially, I was confused when they presented me with a box of cookies with a bow. It turned out to be a donation totaling 48,357 hryvnias, which is 9.6% of the required amount of 500,000 hryvnias," Maksym Adamenko wrote.

It's worth mentioning that students from the academic lyceum in Hoshcha, located in the Rivne region, sang carols to collect donations for paraffin and wax to make trench candles.

Vinnytsia lyceum students grow microgreens as part of the "Smart Garden" project. This project teaches schoolchildren agricultural skills and is a charitable contribution of Vinnytsia youth to Ukraine's armed forces.

Moreover, the students and teachers of Chernivtsi Gymnasium No. 16 went above and beyond by sending nearly 50,000 trench candles to the front lines. They didn't stop there; they continued volunteering even during the holidays.
