Two Ukrainian soldiers propose to their loved ones during Valentine's Day concert at National Operetta
Two soldiers at once proposed to their loved ones on the main stage of the National Operetta of Ukraine.
That evening, the theater hosted a Valentine's Day concert called "Music of Hearts," which has become a signature event of the venue and had a special mission this year.
After the concert, the theater's Artistic Director, Bohdan Strutynskyi, asked if anyone wanted to propose. Two people said they would like to do it. A Rubryka photographer captured the happy moments.
💍💍 Who are the two lovely couples?
🧩 Andrii Kovalov was mobilized in 2022 to the 58th Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, and later, he was transferred to the Main Military Clinical Hospital, where he now serves as an ophthalmology doctor. He has been in a relationship with his beloved Iryna Larionova for three years. She helped him with supplies at the beginning of the full-scale war when there was a severe shortage of military equipment and gear.
🧩 Denys Dulskyi is a senior combat medic from the 112th Territorial Defense Infantry Battalion. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in July and volunteered for the territorial defense of Kyiv from the first days of the war. His beloved Apollinariia Boliolova works as a medic.
It was a real surprise for the girls, but both of them said yes. Brothers-in-arms, friends, and family came to support the defenders.
"We, Ukrainians, once again prove that love saves гі even in the darkest and most difficult times. After all, the power of true love is stronger than any weapon," said Bohdan Strutynskyi, the theater's director.
