Ukraine receives first Caesar self-propelled howitzers from Denmark
In Ukraine, Danish Caesar self–propelled howitzers were deployed for combat operations.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, announced this during a press conference at the Military Media Center.
The minister noted that in August, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine started a project with Denmark to obtain Caesar artillery systems.
"I want to brag to you that the first Caesars arrived in Ukraine, manufactured in France, but these are Danish Caesars," noted Oleksii Reznikov.
For reference:
The Caesar is a French 155–mm self–propelled artillery piece designed to eliminate personnel and artillery batteries and create pathways through minefields and field barriers.
It has a maximum firing range of 42 km and a rate of fire of six shots per minute. Ukraine has thus far received eighteen of these installations from France, and Denmark has previously committed to transfer its full allotment of nineteen Caesars.
