Humanitarian aid has arrived in the city of Melitopol, on the way back buses will be able to evacuate about 350 people.

This was announced in a video message by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov on Facebook.

"Yesterday at 19:00, the humanitarian convoy was not allowed at the entrance to Melitopol. SES cars, buses, trucks, everyone saw the stele Melitopol, but the Russian military decided not to let the column. They let it in only this morning. Now the humanitarian aid is the firefighter station on Heroiv Stalinhrada Street and unloads everything necessary for Melitopol residents: products, medicines, personal hygiene products, etc.," Fedorov said.

Fedorov added that on the way back, buses would take out those locals who want to evacuate to Zaporizhzhia. They will be able to pick up about 350 people.

Departure is scheduled for approximately 8.30-9.00.

The mayor noted that judging by the number of reports he receives, many people want to be evacuated, but they will not be able to pick them all up.

However, Fedorov expects that humanitarian aid and evacuation will take place on a regular basis.

Melitopol is now under the control of the Russian occupiers.
