Government simplifies humanitarian aid import: 3,000 trucks arrived

The government has simplified and continues to simplify the import of humanitarian goods to Ukraine

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal live.

According to the Prime Minister, the authorities continue to simplify the procedures for importing humanitarian aid to Ukrainians.

"In the last six days, almost 3,000 trucks carrying 20,000 tons of humanitarian aid have crossed the Ukrainian border. These are mostly food, clothing, medicine, and medical supplies that the government is already sending to the regions."

On March 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the establishment of the Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian and Social Affairs.

The headquarters will assist citizens in overcoming difficult life circumstances in connection with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

"Russia's military invasion of some Ukrainian cities and villages has created an extremely difficult humanitarian situation. Many people have lost their homes or been left without access to water, food, medicine, and basic necessities.

To effectively provide assistance to the affected citizens, the President has established a Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian and Social Affairs, which will quickly coordinate volunteer initiatives, international humanitarian organizations, and funding from a special account created by the National Bank for humanitarian donations.
