The European Union bans the sale of euro banknotes to Russia
As part of another sanctions package, the European Union has banned the sale of euro banknotes to Russia.
This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
An exception will be made for personal use by individuals arriving in Russia.
Also, diplomatic missions and international organizations with legal immunity are not banned.
Earlier it was reported that in December, Russian banks imported cash foreign currency for $5 billion compared to $2.65 billion a year earlier. The increase in cash imports was associated with a possible increase in demand in the event of sanctions.
