Foreign Ministers of Baltic states preparing to visit Ukraine

The foreign ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia are preparing to visit Ukraine due to concerns over a possible Russian invasion.

Delfi reported this with reference to Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.

"We have previously agreed with our colleagues from the Baltic States, and now we're confirming our possible visit (to Ukraine – ed.) shortly," Landsbergis said.

According to him, other EU and NATO ministers joining such a visit would be a "very strong signal," and such a "political shield" would provide an opportunity to buy time and postpone Russia's attack if it's really planned.

As reported by Rubryka, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz paid a visit to Kyiv on Monday.

It is also planned that Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, as well as the Speaker of the Polish Sejm Tomasz Grodski, will pay official visits to Ukraine this week.
