In Lutsk, a schoolgirl initiated a charity event to help homeless animals
In Lutsk, students of the Modest Levitskyi Gymnasium № 4 joined the charity event, "With Grace in the Heart." They gathered food and necessities for animals.
The director of the Laska Municipal Enterprise Oksana Bohdaniuk announced it, Suspilne reports.
According to her, the purpose of the event is to draw attention to the problems of homeless animals. Currently, almost 300 animals live at the enterprise. In the first nine months of 2021, nearly a hundred animals found a home.
The idea of the initiative belongs to sixth-grader Zhenia Kardash. She noted that during the week, students collected everything the animals needed in the shelter.
"Food, toys, collars, bowls, everything that dogs need. I had a dog from the street. She lived for 14 years. I believe that we need to help homeless animals, if possible, to take them in," said Zhenia Kardash.
Oksana Kardash, the head of the children's and family reading department, noted that it was not the first time that the regional children's library has held joint events with the Laska municipal enterprise.
